ALG is currently recruiting for a Technician (Special Treatment) with our world-leading Aerospace client. This is a full-time permanent position based in Singapore.This role is to prepare the parts to be plated with protective coating achieved by applying a layer of wear and corrosion resistant coating on the moving parts and parts that are exposed to the environments as the main components of the landing gear needs corrosion and wear protection.Job Responsibilities:
  • Carry out production work as assigned by the Flow Leader or Team Leader.
  • Carry out housekeeping tasks according to the Flow Leader or Team Leader's instructions to maintain 5S.
  • To perform critical special processes such as: Chrome plating, Nickel Plating/ cadmium plating, shot-peening, blasting, anodizing, heat treatment, passivation and HVOF stripping for major aircraft components.
  • Carry out preparation and plating process according to technical instructions and routers.
  • Ensure that the quality level of the components repaired meets the specifications.
  • Carry out routine maintenance of plating tanks, equipment and fixtures. (TPM daily, monthly and quarterly).
  • Participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement programs and initiatives.
  • Strict compliance to special process (plating, peening) instructions.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Possesses academic qualification of at least Nitec or Higher Nitec.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years' experience in MRO industries.
  • Advantage to have special approvals on one of the above mentioned critical specialized processes.
