Delivery Project Manager
This role is responsible for managing floor box replacements, structured cabling installation, and power distribution projects within a campus IT and data center environment. The PM must ensure adherence to IEC, Singaporean regulations, and structured cabling best practices while coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and design engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery & Execution:
- Plan and oversee floor box installation and structured cabling upgrades within IT rooms and office environments.
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards, structured cabling regulations, and XXXXXX internal policies.
- Coordinate cable management and power distribution planning, ensuring proper containment and structured routing.
- Manage technical reviews of CAD designs for cable layouts, floor box positioning, and power planning.
- Compliance & Technical Governance:
- Ensure floor box installations, PDUs, and power constraints meet Singapore’s building codes and IEC compliance.
- Maintain labelling and structured cabling standards across all installations.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination:
- Work with structured cabling engineers, electrical teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment with design standards.
- Manage installation timelines, material procurement, and contractor oversight.
- Communicate technical risks, power constraints, and structured cabling adjustments to key stakeholders.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate project metrics, reporting on power usage, structured cabling layouts, and compliance checkpoints.
- Provide regular status updates to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Project Management Expertise:
- Proven experience managing technical infrastructure projects, particularly floor box installation, structured cabling, and power management.
- Familiarity with Singaporean regulations (BCA, SCDF) and IEC standards for power & cabling is essential.
- Understanding of structured cabling (Cat6A, Fibre, MPO/MTP) and IT room power constraints.
- Technical & Compliance Knowledge:
- Basic CAD knowledge to interpret structured cabling layouts and coordinate floor box placements.
- Experience managing cross-connects, containment, and cable bundle labelling.
- Awareness of data center power standards (PDUs, RPPs, UPS systems, grounding & earthing).
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills:
- Ability to coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Strong documentation and reporting capabilities to ensure compliance and governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ISO/IEC 11801, ANSI/TIA-568, and BS EN 50174 cabling standards.
- Experience: Data center, office IT infrastructure, or facilities management background preferred.
