Job Title: Interior Designer (No Experience Required)
Department: Design Team
Reports to: Senior Interior Designer / Design Director
(SINGAPOREAN ONLY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Development: Work with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and goals. Develop initial design concepts and mood boards that align with client vision, functionality, and aesthetic preferences.
- Design Creation: Draft detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.). Select furniture, materials, colours, and finishes that best complement the design concept.
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of design projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and craftsmen to bring designs to life.
- Client Communication: Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the design process, providing regular updates and addressing any feedback or changes. Ensure the final design meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Space Planning: Optimize layouts and use of space for both aesthetics and functionality. Ensure that design choices comply with building codes, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines.
- Material Selection: Curate and recommend materials, furnishings, and finishes that are not only beautiful but durable and sustainable. Keep up to date with the latest trends and innovations in interior design.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure cohesive integration of design elements. Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure seamless execution of the overall vision.
- Budget Management: Provide accurate cost estimates for materials, furnishings, and other design-related elements. Ensure the project remains within budget and troubleshoot any cost-related issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of design principles, space planning, and colour theory.
- Basic knowledge of building codes, furniture specifications, and design materials.
- Basic organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with practicality.
- Familiarity with basic design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rayon, or similar) is a plus, but not required.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to contribute to projects and grow within the company.
- Passion for interior design and a desire to learn and a willingness to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $7,200.00 per month
