The candidate is to support Senior Assistant Director/Assistant Director (Business Development) to drive business development, build strategic relationships with corporations, and expand the team's presence in key China markets (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou). The candidate will assist in revenue generation by identifying potential clients, maintaining client relationships, and guiding the operational aspects related to programme proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development Support
  • Assist in executing the business development strategy across the Greater China region under the guidance of the Senior Assistant Director/Assistant Director
  • Research potential corporate and university partners, providing market intelligence and detailed profiles
  • Coordinate outreach initiatives
  • Support participation in industry events and conferences


Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain records of existing client interactions and follow-ups in CRM tools
  • Facilitate client communications, including preparing materials, scheduling meetings, and summarizing action points
  • Assist in preparing proposals and reports tailored to client needs


Operational and Financial Coordination
  • Track programme-related revenues and ensure alignment with budget projections
  • Support invoicing and payment processing, ensuring compliance with corporate policies
  • Prepare financial updates for the Senior Assistant Director/Assistant Director


Programme Design and Implementation Support
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to provide insights and recommendations for programme development
  • Work closely with faculty and operations teams to ensure successful programme delivery
  • Work collaboratively and closely with colleagues, staff and faculty to meet client-specific needs


Internal Collaboration and Team Support
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategy recommendations with the reporting officer
  • Facilitate cross-functional communications between business development, marketing, and operational teams
  • Lead smaller business development initiatives as assigned


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in business development, preferably within executive education, training, or corporate consulting.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise effectively with Chinese clients.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to develop client-focused solutions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in working with corporate clients in China.
  • A good understanding of the Chinese business landscape and executive education market.
