Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.The Facilities Electrical Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment with other engineering subject areas to provide engineering, design, and support for operations, and manufacturing. The Electrical Engineer also provides support for the following systems site wide: electrical, substation, primary power distribution, building power, lighting, UPS and generator.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform regular field inspections during construction and monitor projects to ensure consistency to Micron specifications and standards, agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Evaluate existing electrical elements on campus for safety and integrity and provide recommendations and design for improvements.
  • Lead a sustaining electrical design team to produce electrical construction drawings that meet schedule and budget requirements.
  • Ensure constructability in relevant environments in or near operating buildings without interruptions.
Communication & Collaboration:
  • Ensures appropriate communication with facilities and manufacturing partners
  • Collaborates with areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals
  • Proactively communicates issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions, or lost moves
  • Coordinates with collaborators and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status updates
  • Listens to customer feedback, recognizes opportunities and provides feedback for technical innovation
  • Communicates with Procurement and appropriate partners on new system purchases
Qualifications
  • In depth background in Electrical Engineering domain.
  • Good computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and the ability to lead and direct both internal and external resources
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate well with management team
  • Essential that you have strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate in teams, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and make decisions with minimal guidance or counseling
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering field or related experience, PE License Preferred
  • PMP Certification
Preferred Experience
  • +5 years as a facilities engineer in a semiconductor facility or similar industry
  • +5 years experience in Electrical Engineering Design/Management
