Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to computer systems and network connectivity.
- Work with schematics to understand system layouts and configurations.
- Perform network installations, including Ethernet cabling and configuration of Cisco routers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal performance of data centre operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, installations, and system changes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while working with electrical components.
Requirements
- Proficiency in computer hardware repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles, including experience with Juniper and Cisco routers.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical diagrams related to data centre operations.
- Experience in network installation and troubleshooting Ethernet connections.
- Ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications in networking or data centre management are advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and processes.
