Job Scope of Infant Care teacher
1. .Curriculum and Activity Planning
- implement age-appropriate activities and lessons that promote development
(lesson plans provided)
- Incorporate educational toys and materials to stimulate learning.
2.. Baby’s Care and Supervision
- Ensure the safety and well-being of infants at all times
-Attend to the infants’ physical needs, such as feeding, changing diapers, and putting them
to sleep
3. Developmental Assessment
- Watch how the babies are developing and growing.
- Keep notes and share updates on their milestones.
4. Interaction, Engagement and Supervision
- Interact positively and warmly with infants to foster a nurturing environment.
- Encourage social interactions among the infants.
5. Parent Communication
- Maintain open communication with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Provide daily updates on infants’ and routines and weekly update for their activities
6. Classroom Management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Ensure hygiene standards are met, including sanitation of toys and equipment.
7. Health and Safety Compliance
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and center policies.
- Practice emergency response procedures and maintain first aid knowledge.
8. Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other staff members.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the centre
Qualifications:
- certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or Infant Care (EY1/EY2)
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A warm and caring demeanour with a strong passion for working with infants.
Salary Range: $2,800 - $3,400, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
