You will be the technical lead in product and/or process development. You lead to deliver RDQ activities needed to complete new product development, and that maintain portfolios and/or productivity projects, keeping in mind the goal to create the desired consumer experience and/or through digitalization.
How will you contribute:
You will work with a cross-functional partner to define, initiate, and lead teams to successfully deliver business goals using technical rigor and best practices. Influencing skills are important in this role because you will use them to educate business stakeholders about technical risks, ensuring clear communication and understanding to allow for effective cross-functional decision making. You will also create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications. As a technical leader, you demonstrate your own high levels of technical rigor and expertise by tapping into internal and external resources to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and to continuously identify opportunities for improvement, keeping in mind consumers’ wants and needs.

More about this role:
Gum category plays an important role in AMEA BGCM and as a senior scientist II in this category, you will play a critical role to ensure and influencing business stakeholders and cross functional teams in different Business Units especially on the technical capability of gum and candy.

Independent and team player to be able to execute projects to successfully deliver consumer driven and business-related results.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
You must have:
A strong foundation and application of gums technology and understanding on how the interactions between the ingredients in gum formulations.
A strong foundation on the process and manufacturing technologies in gum manufacturing plants.
A growth mindset to be able to translate consumer learnings data, qualitative data to create gum winning formulations.
Able to guide juniors product/process developers on gum fundamentals and support the production plants for troubleshooting activities.
Able to take on any major gum projects with minimal supervision from line manager.
Be digitally savvy and work effectively and efficiently with modelling and simulation to be able to imbibe digitalization for the team.
Strong partnership between Global platform team, Consumer Science and Supply Chain and able to influence the stakeholders on the outcome of the projects.
Excellent organizational and project management skills to deliver results through others are necessary to be successful.
Education / Certifications:
Science and Engineering background >10 years' experience.
Job specific requirements:
Preferable to have gum and confectionery experience (5 - 8 years recorded experience) and managing complex projects by influencing multi-functional teams.
Fluent English - verbal and written.
Travel requirements:
Will require international travel from time to time as required.
Work schedule:
Full time. This role will need to connect with Global Platform teams and will require some evening meetings.
