Your role will involve actively seeking cutting-edge digital solutions in the market, conducting preliminary feasibility studies, and developing rapid proof-of-concept applications to bring digital innovation concepts to fruition effectively. You will also gain practical experience in every stage of the innovation software development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, resulting in tangible advancements in supply chain optimisation. This full-time internship will commence in Jun/Jul 2025.What you will be doing:
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders on the business needs and operational requirements to understand requirements and translate them into technical software specifications.
  • Technology Research: Work closely with the innovation team to scout and explore emerging technologies and trends in software development and cloud computing.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct preliminary feasibility studies on identified technologies based on the return on investment (ROI) model.
  • Software Development: Design, build and configure proof-of-concept applications to meet business process and application requirements.
  • Solution Maintenance: Support and maintain Azure-based cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Testing and Deployment: Lead and assist in technical aspects of software implementation, testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to ensure successful delivery.
  • Additional Support: Assist the Innovation team with any additional ad-hoc task assignments, including, but not limited to, data collection and analysis.
The successful candidate:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
  • Proven experience in software development, with proficiency in languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience with specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics, AI)
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with Azure cloud services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about Innovation and Software Development
