About Department and Purpose of the Position

This position plays a vital role in supporting the Nursing Administration department, with a diverse range of responsibilities that span administrative, operational, and project management functions. A cornerstone of this position is its pivotal involvement with the Patient Care Product Evaluation Committee, where the incumbent plays a key role in driving innovation and efficiency in patient care products. The role extends beyond traditional administrative duties, encompassing strategic equipment deployment planning, meticulous budget management, and streamlined procurement processes for nursing wards. With a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, this position offers the opportunity to analyze, optimize, and revolutionize work processes within the nursing department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and with external vendors. This multifaceted role not only supports the day-to-day operations of the nursing department but also contributes significantly to its long-term strategic goals and overall patient care quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support infection control related meetings, courses and project(s) lead by Infection Control Unit.
  • Make arrangements for and co-ordinates meetings or events convened by the Infection Control and for catering requirements when necessary.
  • Type memorandums, correspondences, forms, collating reports, statistics, etc, and other clerical support to ADoN/NCs/SSNs/SNs.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking MRSA initiatives indicators, such as transmission rates, compliance to implemented initiatives, and verification of MRSA Initiatives data (when required).
  • Support Patient Care Product Evaluation Committee as secretariat, working with Chairperson and members to:
    • Review 100% of nursing related requests surfaced to committee
    • Projecting and factoring in practice changes impacting consumables consumptions for product renewals
    • Plan and execute product evaluation and support for roll out for requests approved by management
    • Plan and execute changes of supplies arising from renewal of products
    • Ensure investigation and resolution of problem products
    • Attain savings where applicable
  • Support Nursing Ops cell in Mass Casualty Incidence management matters
  • Budget, analyze, plan, execute and facilitate project objectives for equipment deployment plans independently for Nursing Wards
  • Liaise with vendors and wards on delivery and execution of approved equipment deployment plans.
  • Perform procurement duties required by department.
  • Support department in management of funds, utilization and reporting to ensure compliance to internal policies.
  • Analyse, identify, review, resolve and improve process, eliminate waste or resolve issues relating to administrative work processes and operational matters within Nursing.
