Job Overview:
The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards. In addition to managing production workflows, the individual should have the capability to handle IT-related issues within the production environment, specifically for the company’s in-house operation software. This includes troubleshooting software errors, identifying system inefficiencies, and collaborating with the internal IT team for further improvements.
The role will also involve conducting investigations, analyzing root causes of production or system disruptions, and providing detailed reports with solutions to enhance overall performance. A strong interest in AI-driven optimization is crucial, as the supervisor will be involved in researching and implementing AI-based improvements to streamline processes, enhance automation, and drive efficiency in production.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operational Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor workflow, machine performance, and process efficiency to meet production targets.
Lead and train production staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Enforce workplace safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies.
Handling IT-Related Issues (In-House Software & Systems):
Troubleshoot minor IT issues related to the company’s in-house operation software.
Identify and document system inefficiencies, proposing improvements to streamline operations.
Provide first-line support for software-related issues affecting production, escalating complex problems to the internal IT team.
Assist in testing and validating software updates to ensure system stability and minimal impact on production.
Work closely with IT and management to provide feedback on software performance and necessary enhancements.
Investigation, Reporting & Problem-Solving:
Conduct in-depth investigations into production delays, quality issues, and system-related disruptions.
Gather and analyze data from production reports and system logs to identify root causes of recurring issues.
Document investigation findings and generate detailed reports outlining:
The nature of the issue
Possible causes
Steps taken during investigation
Recommended solutions and preventive actions
Implement corrective measures and monitor their effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
Communicate findings and solutions clearly to management and relevant teams for transparency and continuous improvement.
AI Research & Process Optimization:
Explore AI-driven solutions to enhance production efficiency and automation.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas where AI can improve decision-making, predictive maintenance, or workflow optimization.
Assist in data collection and analysis to support AI model training and deployment.
Work with IT and management to implement AI-powered enhancements for operational efficiency.
Stay updated on AI trends, research, and best practices to propose innovative solutions for the production environment.
Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular updates to management on production performance, system status, and identified issues.
Serve as a liaison between production teams, IT, and AI research teams to ensure smooth coordination.
Maintain proper documentation of troubleshooting steps, process changes, and implemented solutions for future reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, or a related field.
Experience in a supervisory role within a production/manufacturing environment.
Ability to troubleshoot software-related issues within the company’s in-house operation system.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve operational and system-related issues.
Experience in conducting investigations, generating reports, and proposing effective solutions.
Interest in AI-driven optimization, with a willingness to research and explore AI applications for process improvement.
Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to guide and train staff.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Familiarity with data analysis and process automation tools is a plus.
