We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Retail Sales Manager to oversee our multi-platform e-commerce operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing digital sales channels, supplier relations, and business expansion. This role requires a highly strategic individual capable of optimizing e-commerce strategies while engaging with both local and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• E-Commerce Platform Management: Oversee and manage multiple e-commerce platforms, including TikTok, Douyin (China), Xiaohongshu (China), Shopee, and Lazada. Optimize product listings, sales strategies, and platform performance to drive revenue growth.
• Supplier & Procurement Management: Utilize an extensive network of Chinese suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate the most competitive pricing and ensure a high-margin product selection.
• Price Negotiation & Supplier Relations: Actively engage with Chinese suppliers to secure the best pricing and favorable contract terms, ensuring a cost advantage in product procurement.
• Factory Visits & Business Travel: Be willing to travel to China to visit supplier factories, conduct on-site inspections, and negotiate procurement agreements in person.
• Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies tailored to each platform to maximize conversion rates and market reach.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of e-commerce and marketing professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluation.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, customer behavior, and competitor strategies to drive business decisions.
• Budget & Cost Optimization: Manage the e-commerce budget to ensure cost-effectiveness while achieving sales targets and return on investment (ROI).
• Local Business Engagement: Develop partnerships with local businesses in Singapore to distribute our products and expand brand presence.
• Business Development & Expansion: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to grow the company’s market share and revenue streams.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce or retail sales, with a strong background in managing online sales platforms.
• Proven experience in cross-border e-commerce, particularly in China and Southeast Asia.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in dealing with factory suppliers and securing the most competitive pricing.
• Ability to manage multiple e-commerce platforms and develop customized strategies for each.
• Willingness to travel frequently to China for supplier visits, factory inspections, and procurement meetings.
• Experience in leading a team and working with cross-functional departments.
• Analytical mindset with expertise in market research, sales forecasting, and budget management.
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Chinese suppliers and manage China-based platforms).
• Familiarity with digital marketing, supply chain management, and e-commerce logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with TikTok Shop, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Shopee.
• Certification or training in digital marketing, e-commerce strategy, or business management.
