We are looking for a HR Partner to join our team of HR Business Partners that supports a group of Research Centres and Institutes at CLS/MD6, as well as Faculties/Schools under the CLS/MD6 Cluster’s care. You will partner and support the business line heads and managers to handle a full spectrum of HR functions which includes talent acquisition, staff retention, compensation, performance appraisals, as well as talent management and development.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities would include the following:
  • Manage the recruitment, appointment and re-appointment of Principal Investigators, Research staff and Academic staff
  • Manage the recruitment, appointment and re-appointment of Executive and Administrative staff
  • Work closely with the Dean/Director, Head of Administration and Principal Investigators on appointment matters, salary recommendations and manpower cost
  • Work with Directors/Deans/Head of Administration to liaise with potential hires and arrange logistics for campus visits
  • Finalise contracts and liaise with candidates on the offer of appointments and onboarding processes
  • Perform and manage all HR functions related to appointments, such as work pass applications and renewals
  • Facilitate the performance management process for Academic, Research and Executive & Administrative staff
  • Provide staff data, information and movement for the faculty/school/institute/centre’s website, stakeholders, submissions and external grant reporting
  • Offboarding management and administer exit surveys
  • Provide advice to staff on their enquiries on HR policies and procedures, and handle employee grievances
  • Any other duties and projects/tasks as assigned

Requirements
  • University Degree with at least 5 years' relevant HR work experience
  • Good knowledge of the Employment Act, Labour Laws and Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels
  • Able to independently manage correspondences and tasks assigned
  • Team-player, confident and able to multi-task
  • Meticulous and have good organizational skills
  • Work well under pressure
