Represents Alcon with industry associations.Franchise Strategy:Develop and execute short-, mid- and long-term vision of Surgical business franchise business plans.Deliver full commercial plan including new products launch to relevant internal and external stakeholders.Identify opportunities and challenges, and develop actionable business plans to address them.Assess market trends, competitor activities, and internal capabilities to drive long-term business successCross-functional franchise leadership and alignmentCollaborate with IMG and marketing to executes marketing plans and programs in alignment with International Marketing guidelinesEffectively uses country budget to execute the business strategy and tactic including new product launchesPerform Marketing Intelligence activities to anticipate competitive movesMaintain effective communication and collaboration amongst cross functionsFoster constructive working culture of collaboration and influence with all enabling function teams and stakeholders.Commercial Capability Building:Contribute to develop employee’s commercial capabilities via training based on development needs and plansProvide coaching to team members to build capabilities and accelerate professional growthClosely work with Commercial Surgical Training team and HR to build and upskill overall capabilities of business franchise teamPeople engagement & development and build strong cultureLead Surgical Franchise on all people management issues, including selection, retention, engagement & development processes and succession pipelineAccountable to provide direction, leadership, coaching, developmental plans of direct reports and rapidly acting on non-performers - coaches, counsels, supports, and when needed, terminates.Creating and leading a high performing team including training and allocation of country field force resources and personnelFoster an engaging and inclusive workplace cultureSets the tone of a culture of integrity and ensures legal and ethical conduct, corporate compliance, and adherence to company guidelines and proceduresLead by example, create an environment that encourage open and respectful communication, collaboration and respect for diverse perspectives.Education:Minimum: Bachelor DegreePreferred: Major in Business Administration / Medical Engineering / Bioengineering / Ophthalmology or other related, and / or Master Degree in Business AdministrationExperience:Minimum 15 years of broad healthcare industry experience in progressive managerial positions preferably in the medical device, pharmaceutical and/or consumer industrySuccessful track record for delivering P&L through sizeable teams in a sustainable wayDemonstrated strategic thinking and ability to develop robust business plansDeep understanding and experience in managing multi-function business operations; Experience building and leading cross functional teams and influencing within a matrix environmentExperience in commercial execution, product strategy, brand marketing, portfolio managementLeadership experience, and proven ability to develop talent pipeline with a diversity mindset approach; ability to generate an engaging and inclusive cultureLanguages: Fluency in English essentialKnowledge/Fluency of at least one other language preferred
