Position Overview

Autodesk Data Platform (ADP) provides centralized data and analytics platform for entire Autodesk’s products, services, and business needs. ADP Stream Processing System team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join a very talented and seasoned engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable back-end applications using Java.

  • Develop and manage data pipelines using Flink and Kafka for real-time data processing and integration

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable seamless interaction between various components of the system

  • Design and implement microservices

  • Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying and managing applications

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards

  • Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.

  • Develop automation for Integration and System testing

  • Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like PostgreSQL

  • Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming

  • Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Familiarity with containerisation tools like Docker

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud services

  • Experience with Testing frameworks

  • Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)

  • SQL and databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle

  • Kafka and Flink for real-time data streaming

  • RESTful APIs design and implementation

  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Containerisation tools (e.g., Docker) (Preferred)

  • CI/CD tools and practices (Preferred)

  • Monitoring and logging tools for cloud services (Preferred)

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills
