Specialty & Oncology Products are a critical pillar of the EM region and GSK’s strategic growth vision. EM region is complex with a mix of market archetypes, from reimbursed, hybrid or Private/self-pay. For the success of our launches and existing brands, it is crucial to improve the capability Market Access & Pricing of Innovative (high-cost) medicines at the LOC level – facilitated through strong direction and support from the EM region, especially as EM is not a core focus for Global teams.

The complex and rapidly evolving healthcare/access environment across the region necessitates the need for more in-depth insight and support for the LOCs and advocating for EM’s needs in Global access & pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as EM regional access lead for Solid Tumors and Specialty, and related priority pipeline products.

  • Provide strategic & content expertise to enhance access/pricing submissions by LOCs.

  • Partner with regional cross-functional team to deliver holistic regional brand strategy & plan. This includes designing and delivering important regional Access projects that strengthen the capability and preparedness of the LOCs (e.g. negotiations, payer insights, strategic account management).

    • Build regional capability to enhance Product MA resources knowledge – includes dissemination and adaptation of global material for LOCs.

    • Proactively develop creative and effective strategies to gain early optimal reimbursement and access for pipeline products while singling out the business as a preferred partner for health care and reimbursement solutions.

    • Develop and defend differentiated value propositions to various payers and decision makers (for both public and private payers, provincial and federal plans).

    • Develop strategic external relationships with senior stakeholders an organization to establish trust, gain insights, and develop common ground agendas to support and accelerate our access objectives.

  • Effectively collaborate and build strong rapport and alignment with Global teams in Market Access, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, and Pricing team to accomplish above responsibilities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Pharma Market Access, with previous regional/global roles.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with securing reimbursement/funding of oncology and specialty products

  • Experience in expanding access to medicines through unlocking funding through non-public sources (eg, private insurance, HMOs, employer health benefits).

  • Advanced degree in Biomedical, Health Economics or Public Health

  • Experience in establishing external partnerships and payer-side (eg, private insurer, HTA agency) is favourable.

  • Proven experience in above-country roles working across cultural and multi-functional specificities in complex situations (Regional / Global)

  • Track record of establishing effective working relationships with all stakeholders and influencing without authority

  • Effective oral and written communications skills for a wide variety & levels of audiences

  • Robust problem-solving skills

  • High resilience and agility
