About Engineering Product Development (EPD) Pillar:
The EPD environment is one that consists of faculty and students of multi-national background and multi-disciplinary academia in the Engineering domain. We constantly aim to partner with corporations and agencies in EPD’s specialized research fields. The Pillar consists of various internal committees that drive the on-going effort in building EPD to be a world-class program.
Description:
As an Senior Associate, your role is to work with the internal committees in taking control of the development activities and co-ordinating all interfacing projects relating to the I&E, research, education programme. This is a key role in supporting the Pillar’s operation commitments, and knowledge of tertiary academic infrastructure will be beneficial. You will report to the Pillar’s management and be part of a pool in the administrative team supporting faculty, students, associated projects and activities.
On-going activities would include working with Pillar’s management in developing business presentations, proposals, writing and managing publicity content as well as coordinating various Pillar events.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the development of ad-hoc EPD project(s) relating to SUTD’s LEAP initiatives
- Provide professional, consistent and effective administrative support to the faculty, students & pillar including events, research-and-education related matters
- Play an important role in publicising and marketing the pillar both internally and externally
- Assume the role of key liaison between the pillar and other departments in SUTD
- Support data collection and reporting in matters related to the pillar’s I&E, education and research-related matters.
- Ensure tasks are executed in compliance to the University’s policy framework
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- A recognised degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience in an academic, research or institution of higher learning environment.
- You should have an analytical mind and be proficient in MS Office.
- Meticulous, independent, adaptable, self-motivated and resourceful.
- Must be an excellent team player with good people skills.
- Excellent data management, writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable
- Degree in Engineering
- Degree in Management / Diploma with right skills/ attributes
- Presentation skills
- Familiarity with research-related activities and goals
