At World Auto Pte Ltd, we’re committed to helping people drive safer and happier. To that end, we are searching for a skilled auto mechanic who can identify and address customers’ vehicle concerns. They will perform assigned tasks, including but not limited to problem assessment, parts replacement, oil changes, and tire rotations. They will log issues encountered and all work performed to invoice correctly. Following successful work completion, the auto mechanic may explain vehicle fixes and suggest future improvements. In doing so, they will ensure customers exit the parking lot wanting to return.

Responsibilities

  • Performance general maintenance, servicing, overhaul and troubleshooting activities on vehicles to ensure that all vehicle operate safely and efficiently
  • Inspect and check all braking systems, carry out rectificatIons and brakes improvement projects when assigned
  • Undertake periodic preventive maintenance activities and other enhancement projects from time to time
  • Assess problems with a customer’s vehicle
  • Address concerns raised by customer at initial contact
  • Perform routine inspections and services as necessary
  • Test vehicles to ensure services have been performed properly
  • Meet SAs or & customers to explain services provided and make suggestions based on observations

Skills and qualifications

  • Adept understanding of exceptional automotive care practices and techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of appropriate vehicle parts and repair tools for a variety of makes and models
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Refined sense of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Strong organizational skills for navigating multiple competing responsibilities
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work on assigned projects as part of a team

Preferred qualifications

  • Several years of experience working in an automotive mechanic establishment
  • Adept skill with analog and digital diagnostic equipment
  • High degree of proficiency with electronic control systems
  • Familiarity with office software (ex: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) for recording data and project management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,200.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental Pay:

  • Commission pay
  • Overtime pay

Education:

  • GCE 'O' Level or GCE 'N' Level (Preferred)

Experience:

  • automotive service & repair: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Class 3 Driving Licence (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
