
Assistant Accountant / Accountant (Korean-Speaking)
Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Singapore. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Korean (both written and spoken) to communicate effectively with stakeholders and counterparts in Korea. He/she will have experience in handling full set of accounts, reconciling inter-company balances with overseas subsidiaries, managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as preparing Goods and Services Tax (GST) submissions.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Handle full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting
2. Assist in annual statutory audit and prepare audit schedules
3. Managing inventories recording and reconciliation
4. Manage Fixed Asset Register
5. Assist in reconciliation of inter-companies’ transactions
6. Assist in preparation of monthly management/ financial reports
7. Assist in preparation of GST returns in compliance with Singapore tax regulations
8. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions
9. Communicate with Korean-speaking stakeholders, vendors, and overseas colleagues to ensure smooth financial operations
10. Undertake ad-hoc projects and other job duties which may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Field
- Min 4 - 6 years of working experience in similar position
- Fluency in Korean (both written and spoken) to liaise with Korean-speaking stakeholders
- Proficiency in Netsuite accounting system is a strong advantage
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preference will be given to those who are available immediately
