Investigation and Enforcement Officer
Responsibilities:
Inspect, investigate and enforce contraventions under the Building
Control Act & Regulations
[What you will be working on]
Your primary responsibility is to perform intelligence gathering, conduct investigations and provide advisory services to internal stakeholders. You are required to manage investigation processes expeditiously, which includes formulating investigation plans, conducting interviews and reporting findings to management. You will work closely with officers in the line divisions and with in-house legal counsel to ensure that there is sufficient evidence to proceed against those who flout the provisions
of statutes under BCA’s purview including the Building Control Act & Regulations. You will need to apply technical skills in identifying risks and applying the law, as well as interpersonal skills to persuade and influence people at all levels.
[What we are looking for]
Must possess tertiary qualification in any field preferably Engineering disciplines with 2-5 years' working experience in conducting investigations.
Must be capable of collecting and evaluating multifaceted information and making balanced decisions.
Must have the ability to communicate with a balanced sense of perspective and composure to stakeholders.
Must be self-motivated, resourceful, possess sharp investigative acumen with good communication, critical thinking and writing skills.
