Job Overview
As a Tandoori Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality tandoori dishes, including kebabs, naans, and marinated meats, while ensuring authenticity and consistency in flavors. You will manage the tandoor station, maintain hygiene standards, and contribute to our innovative yet traditional Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook tandoori dishes such as kebabs, breads, and marinated meats to perfection.
Handle the tandoor oven efficiently, maintaining temperature control for optimal cooking.
Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables with the right blend of spices and techniques.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
Monitor food inventory and place orders for tandoor-specific ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the tandoor station, following food safety regulations.
Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation and service.
Experiment with new tandoori flavors and techniques to enhance the menu.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef in an Indian restaurant.
Strong expertise in handling a traditional tandoor oven.
In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, marination, and grilling techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Commitment to maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards.
