Description

We are looking for an experienced and versatile technical business analyst to improve our information technology systems. In this role, your duties will include gathering business requirements, preparing of functional specification, liaising with vendors, and the deployment of the solution to improve our business operations. You may also be required to provide training.

To ensure success, you should demonstrate experience and creativity in solution design and an innovative approach to application deployment. The ideal candidate should have a good balance of IT expertise with functional business knowledge, to better provide an optimal business solution.

Key Responsibilities include but not limit to:

Business Intelligence & Analytics:

  • Support BI and analytics initiatives, gathering and analyzing business requirements to define and deliver robust data insights and reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain BI solutions and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and other related tools.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements for BI solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs.
  • Design and implement ETL processes to aggregate data from multiple sources and provide actionable insights.
  • Document business requirements, system designs, and technical specifications for new BI and analytics solutions.

Data Management

  • Involved in integration of data between various applications/platforms such as the different ERPs, transaction systems and data warehouses.
  • Define and build data pipelines that will enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business.
  • Perform all needed data extraction, transformation and loading based on the business requirements.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy during the integration process.
  • Work independently and with team members to understand database structure and business process.
  • Ensuring optimal accuracy and timeliness of data on a real-time basis while implementing monitoring tools to detect data issues.
  • Comply with information security standards and governance processes.
  • Propose improvements to existing reporting processes, data models, and analytics frameworks.
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, and scalability in BI and analytics solutions.
  • Handle day-to-day data hub operations and provide advisory to business users

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Business Intelligence, Microsoft Power BI, or ERP systems are a plus.

Experience:

  • Experience in data engineering: ETL/ ELT, data cleansing, data pipelines, data modelling, data integration and enterprise data management
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Exposure to Business Application: Enterprise Resource Planning (e.g. SAP ECC/S/4), Property Management (Yardi, SAP)
  • Exposure to Data warehouse (MS Azure), Data Visualization (MS Power BI, Tableau, Domo), MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Experience integrating ERP systems (such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.) with BI tools and platforms.
  • Proficient in at least two programming languages: Python, Java/Scala, R, Rest APIs, T-SQL
  • Experience in the real estate and finance industries is strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of BI tools and analytics frameworks, especially in Power BI.
  • Solid experience with data integration and system interfaces between ERP systems and BI platforms.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience preparing data for analytics and following a data science workflow
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying for reporting and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
