Job Summary
The Intern – Supply Chain Operations will be provided with a broad overview and hands-on experience of the supply chain process including inbound and outbound operations, inventory management among others.
In addition, he/she will participate in cross departmental interactions to ensure we achieve supply chain and company goals.
He/she will undertake a range of responsibilities to gain exposure and experience in various aspects of supply chain operations and core supply chain processes such as supply and demand planning and inventory management. He/she will work alongside with assigned mentor for hands-on training.
He/she is expected to work with individuals and take on assigned projects implementation (if any).
Analytical and logical, he is required to explore solutions and analyse the feasibility of plans.
He is also expected to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement processes and technology, involvement in projects amongst others.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
- Support the planning of resources within business activities
- Support the development of warehouse planning methods, warehouse storage and layout plans.
- Support the management of stakeholders to monitor completion of requirements and activities.
- Undertake continuous improvement projects related to the areas that they are placed to demonstrate understanding and add value where possible.
- Review areas in logistics operations where technology can enhance processes.
- Gather information on latest technology trends.
- Facilitate key activities and milestones in technology projects
- Support the development of plans to implement innovative logistics solutions.
- Support managers in the management of key accounts through maintaining close contact with stakeholders
- Undertake any assigned projects / duties directed by Management(if any)
Job Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Basic Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- Currently pursuing Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain management, logistics, Engineering, business management or a related field.
