Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Audio Technician to manage all aspects of audio setup, operation, and maintenance for our events. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This role involves collaborating with our production team to ensure seamless execution of events, from conferences and corporate functions to live performances.

Responsibilities

Audio Setup and Operation

  • Set up, test, and operate audio equipment for events, including soundboards, microphones, speakers, and other related gear.
  • Ensure all audio systems are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Willing to work odd hours/weekends/PH

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support during events, troubleshooting any audio issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams (lighting, video) to ensure a cohesive event experience.

Maintenance and Inventory

  • Maintain and perform routine checks on all AV equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Manage inventory of AV equipment, reporting any issues or needs for replacement.

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Work closely with event coordinators to understand event requirements and plan accordingly.
  • Participate in pre-event meetings to discuss technical aspects and ensure smooth execution.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other technicians and event staff to achieve event goals.

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of audio systems, including digital consoles, microphones, and speaker systems.
  • Experience with audio software and hardware.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to audio equipment.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in events or live performance settings.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing audio for events.
  • Knowledge of Hybrid and Virtual events is a plus

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Certifications and Education

  • Relevant certifications in audio technology or a related field are advantageous.
  • A diploma in audio engineering or a related field is desirable but not required.
  • Class 3 Licence
