Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative direction of mini movies, narrative content, and cinematic video productions.
  • Improvise and amend concepts, scripts, and visual styles during filming.
  • Direct actors, ensuring natural and compelling performances that align with the story.
  • Work with the cinematographer to establish shot lists, framing, and camera movements.
  • Oversee the entire production process, from pre-production (storyboarding, casting, location scouting) to post-production (editing, VFX, sound design).
  • Ensure all final edits maintain high storytelling and production quality.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to refine the narrative, pacing, and overall cinematic flow.

Requirements:

  • Proof of ability to read, write and speak in Chinese language.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience as a Video Director in narrative filmmaking, short films, or cinematic storytelling.
  • An existing portfolio of past works is compulsory as part of the submission process.
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of film grammar and storytelling structure.
  • Ability to lead a production team, including actors, camera operators, and post-production staff.
  • Experience in script breakdown, storyboarding, and directing both technical and emotional performances.
  • Knowledge of cinematography, editing, and sound design to oversee the entire storytelling process.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
