Job Description:
As a Make-up/Costume Stylist at ASAP Media, you will be responsible for make-up and costume styling for actors based on the specific film set, movie theme, and character requirements. Your work will involve collaborating with directors, center managers, and other key creatives to ensure the makeup and costume complements the storyline and enhances the visual appeal of each production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and apply makeup for actors, based on the needs of each film set, movie theme, and character design.
  • Collaborate with the director and costume department to understand the character’s look and vision.
  • Assist with special effects makeup, including prosthetics, aging makeup, and character transformations, depending on production requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized makeup station and tools.
  • Stay up to date with current trends in makeup, film industry standards, and techniques used in film and television.
  • Ensure the makeup remains intact throughout the filming process, touching up as needed during takes.
  • Assist with costume coordination and fittings, ensuring costumes are well-fitted on actors and ensuring costumes are aligned with scene needs.
  • Adapt to the specific needs of each set, whether it's for a period drama, modern film, action scene, or fantasy production.
  • Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure smooth operations on set.
  • Maintain high levels of professionalism and work ethic on set, ensuring that actors feel comfortable and confident in their makeup.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience as a Makeup Artist, ideally with experience in film or television production.
  • Strong knowledge of makeup techniques and products, with a particular focus on film and media applications.
  • Experience working with a variety of makeup styles, from natural looks to complex special effects.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with directors, costume designers, and other creatives on set.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for color, texture, and design.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight schedules.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on the filming schedule.
  • Certification in Makeup Artistry is preferred, but not required.

Working Hours:

  • Workday: 5 work days per week
  • Working Hours: By roster (5 - 6 hours per shift)
