The incumbent will work as part of an established and nationally funded multi-disciplinary research group that focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). You will support the research team in coordinating the investigator-initiated trial activities. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and collaborative research environment, working closely with senior clinicians, clinical coordinators, bioinformaticians and researchers involved in ongoing clinical trials. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to best-in-class translational clinical trials, with the potential to directly impact therapeutic strategies for HCC patients. Your responsibilites will include:

1) Clinical management of research patients:

• Actively involved in coordinating clinical studies in a nation-wide cancer program lead by NCCS.

• Travel to various hospitals for patient recruitment, consents and follow-up.

• Keep records of all documentations.

• Schedule research patients’ appointments.

2) Research sample collection duties:

• Collect and process bio-samples from clinics and OT according to the study protocol.

• Bank the samples and packed samples for batched delivery.

• Maintain cleanliness and inventory in the lab.

3) Management of scientific research projects & resources:

• Update and maintain research database.

• Report protocol deviations and updates to IRB.

• Manage research project milestones and resources.

• Perform and summarise scientific literature searches as instructed by the PI.

• Assist in the submission of manuscripts for publications.

4) Clinical support function:

• Manages the clinical schedule of the PI.

• Contact patients and direct them to the PI according to priorities.

• Arrange and facilitate multi-disciplinary discussions

Requirements:

• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.

• Experience working with patients is preferred.

• Ability to coordinate diverse groups of people.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to work independently and interactively in a team setting, motivated, responsible and a fast learner.
