
Application Analyst Programmer
Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Calypso-based applications in the post-trade FX domain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and infrastructure teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and scalability through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement and maintain best practices in software development and deployment.
- Provide technical support for applications, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Engage in code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities to foster team growth.
- Document system processes, technical specifications, and support procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in Java development, particularly within financial services or capital markets.
- Hands-on experience with Calypso, including configuration, customization, and integration.
- Knowledge of post-trade processing workflows and FX trading operations.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Understanding of middleware technologies and APIs for system integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based solutions and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum framework.
Educational & Professional Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Calypso, Java, or related technologies are a plus.
