
System Engineer (L2 Infrastructure Server Management)
Your role provides seamless integration of up to L2 IT Server infrastructure support. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the L1.5 IT server infrastructure. You will be managing various IT hardware such as server, network equipment, IT software, Firewall, Virtualization, maintain and update IT documentations. Additionally, you will participate in server and network monitoring or related IT projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage configuration, testing, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and servers, Windows, MS O365 and antivirus
- Network Maintenance and Support: Perform routine maintenance tasks on network devices, including firmware updates, patches, and configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Monitor network performance and proactively address bottlenecks or anomalies
- Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and maintain Check Point firewalls to ensure network security.
Implement and maintain firewall policies to control traffic and protect against threats. - Switch Management: Configure and manage Cisco switches, ensuring optimal performance and network segmentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity issues. - IT Projects: To participate in various related projects such as machine/hardware refresh and software refresh and improvement work, replacement works or new implementation initiatives.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Configure, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant IT Level 1.5 Server Infrastructure experience with hands on experience in servers and networks
- Hands-on experience in network equipment vendors such as Cisco, Aruba
- Hands-on experience on administrating on premise’s Windows Server and Linux Operating System, VMWare vSphere and Hyper-V
- Hands-on experience on administrating Microsoft 365 cloud technologies such as Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Intune
- Hand-on experience with implementing and configuring Azure & Amazon Web Services cloud technologies
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certification will be added advantage
- Be able to work independently and in a team
