As we expand our team, we are looking for a mid-level Project Engineer (Security Systems & Network Security) to support the deployment and maintenance of integrated security solutions for enterprise and critical infrastructure clients. This role requires a solid foundation in security system integration, IT networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Security Systems Integration & Deployment
• Assist in the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise security systems, including CCTV, access control, video analytics, and intrusion detection systems.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Genetec, Milestone, CNL-Everbridge platforms.
• Conduct site assessments to determine system requirements and integration feasibility.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and user acceptance tests (UATs) to validate functionality.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
Network & Cybersecurity Integration
• Assist in designing network infrastructure for security systems, ensuring scalability and security.
• Work with IT teams to ensure firewall policies, VLAN configurations, and remote access solutions are properly implemented.
• Support the deployment of secure connectivity solutions, including VPNs and encrypted communication channels for remote system access.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues affecting security system performance.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity best practices and support compliance with industry security standards.
Technical Documentation & Support
• Maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, security configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams for system operations and maintenance.
• Assist in training sessions for clients on system functionality and best practices.
• Contribute to project reports and risk assessments for ongoing and completed projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in security systems integration or IT network security.
• Working knowledge of Genetec, Milestone, CNL-Everbridge, Advancis, or AppVision security platforms.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, firewalls, and secure remote access.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows-based security system environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in physical security systems and network security.
Desirable:
• Certifications in network security (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+) or security system platforms.
• Experience with video analytics and AI-driven security solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud-based security infrastructure and SaaS solutions.
• Familiarity with IoT security concepts and best practices.
