As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Technical Manager to lead our engineering and project delivery team. This is a senior role requiring deep technical expertise in security system integration, IT networking, and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to drive technical excellence, ensuring the successful delivery of complex security integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Project Execution
• Lead the design, implementation, and integration of large-scale security management systems across enterprise environments.
• Serve as the technical authority for security projects, providing guidance on system architecture, network security, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Oversee the deployment of Genetec, Milestone, CNL-Everbridge solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.
• Manage and optimise video analytics implementations at both edge devices and backend systems.
• Ensure project technical feasibility, reviewing designs, network configurations, and cybersecurity measures before implementation.
• Drive technical best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency in project delivery.
Team Leadership & Development
• Manage and mentor a team of Project Engineers and Technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities in security integration and network security.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support career development initiatives for engineering staff.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Work closely with clients, consultants, and project managers to ensure security solutions meet operational and compliance requirements.
• Engage with vendors and technology partners to evaluate and integrate the latest security technologies.
• Oversee the technical evaluation of new security products, ensuring compatibility with enterprise security architectures.
Network Security & Cybersecurity Compliance
• Design and implement secure network architectures for physical security solutions, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure firewall configurations, VLAN segmentation, and remote access solutions align with organisational policies.
• Perform risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate security risks in integrated systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, local data protection regulations).
Technical Documentation & Quality Assurance
• Oversee the development of detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure all security solutions are tested, validated, and commissioned to the highest standards.
• Conduct technical audits and system health checks to maintain the long-term reliability of deployed security systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in security system integration, IT networking, or cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in designing, configuring, and managing Genetec, Milestone, CNL-Everbridge, platforms.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and remote access solutions.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements for security system integration.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage projects, and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to troubleshooting security system and network issues.
Desirable:
• Certifications in network security (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH) or security system platforms.
• Experience in cloud-based security solutions and SaaS-based security models.
• Knowledge of IoT security and AI-driven video analytics.
• Familiarity with industrial security applications (e.g., critical infrastructure protection, data centre security).
