Our client company is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive proposals for water treatment projects, particularly in the oil & gas sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of water treatment processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Manage end-to-end proposal preparation, ensuring alignment with RFP/RFQ requirements, technical specifications, and submission deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, clients, and industry partners to ensure clarity and collaboration throughout the proposal process.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide strategic input on water treatment system designs, process optimization, and compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
  • Cost Analysis & Budgeting: Review and validate cost estimates to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and adherence to profit margin targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (Process & Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Quality Control) to gather technical responses and address bid clarifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and cost reduction in proposal development and engineering solutions.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all proposal content is clear, consistent, technically sound, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Manage proposal timelines, resources, and deliverables, keeping projects on track for timely submission.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide a team of proposal engineers, fostering professional growth and ensuring high performance.
  • Reporting & Review: Conduct regular proposal progress meetings, providing insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the water treatment or environmental engineering industry, with a focus on oil & gas projects.
  • Proven track record in process design and proposal management within the water treatment sector.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment technologies, process engineering principles, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and manage a team of proposal engineers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
  • High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
