Roles of Supplier Quality Manager:

Suppliers Management

· Maintain supplier relationships and manage contracts.

· Oversee supplier performance and the Approved Vendor List (AVL).

· Conduct periodic factory audits and report findings to relevant departments and senior management.

· Ensure supplier management adheres to corporate standards and identify new best-in-class local suppliers.

Quality Control

· Establish and monitor quality standards.

· Document quality control procedures.

· Train staff and contractors on inspection processes and quality standards.

· Set standards for incoming raw materials and coordinate with Purchasing and Product Development.

· Evaluate factory performance and conduct audits.

Product Evaluation

· Ensure smooth transition of new products from design to production.

· Monitor initial production runs for quality.

· Prepare New Product Introduction Packages and update operations lists and bills of materials.

· Assist with product development and sourcing for components that fail testing.

· Manage the critical path of orders from sampling to bulk production.

Testing & Compliance

· Manage component/product test plans and reporting.

· Follow up on non-conformance procedures and corrective actions.

· Ensure components and products meet specifications at pre-production sign-off.

· Improve company-wide QA functions.

· Manage restricted substance compliance and ensure proper testing and reporting.

Reporting & Strategy

· Provide necessary reports to management, including weekly schedules and factory visit agendas.

· Develop sourcing strategies and supplier management plans.

· Analyze spend and formulate spend strategies; screen, audit, and select suppliers based on risk and commercial assessment.

· Initiate and implement cost/process improvement projects to ensure supplier quality.

· Lead changes to ensure supply.

· Stay updated on the supplier market.

· Integrate sourcing plans within budgets and price planning processes.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience Required:

· Strong knowledge of electronic products and OEM/EMS projects.

· Extensive experience in QA documentation and procedures adhering to ISO standards.

· Proficient in ERP system.

· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

· Flexible, fast-paced, detail-oriented with a problem-solving mentality and integrity.

· Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.

· Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related disciplines.

· MBA is advantage.

· 8+ years of experience in sourcing electronic components and working in manufacturing environments.

· 5+ years of experience in quality control in the electronics or semiconductor industry.

· 5+ years of experience in managing teams.
