Roles of Supplier Quality Supervisor:

Supplier Management

· Assist in maintaining supplier relationships and managing contracts.

· Support the oversight of supplier performance and the Approved Vendor List (AVL).

· Participate in periodic factory audits and report findings to relevant departments.

· Help ensure supplier management adheres to corporate standards and assist in identifying new local suppliers.

Quality Control

· Support the establishment and monitoring of quality standards.

· Assist in documenting quality control procedures.

· Help train staff and contractors on inspection processes and quality standards.

· Coordinate with Purchasing and Product Development to set standards for incoming raw materials.

· Assist in evaluating factory performance and conducting audits.

Product Evaluation

· Support the transition of new products from design to production.

· Monitor initial production runs for quality.

· Assist in preparing New Product Introduction Packages and updating operations lists and bills of materials.

· Help with product development and sourcing for components that fail testing.

· Assist in managing the critical path of orders from sampling to bulk production.

Testing & Compliance

· Assist in managing component/product test plans and reporting.

· Follow up on non-conformance procedures and corrective actions.

· Ensure components and products meet specifications at pre-production sign-off.

· Support the improvement of company-wide QA functions.

· Help manage restricted substance compliance and ensure proper testing and reporting.

Reporting & Strategy

· Assist in providing reports to management, including weekly schedules and factory visit agendas.

· Assist in developing sourcing strategies and supplier management plans.

· Help analyze spend and formulate spend strategies; screen, audit, and select suppliers based on risk and commercial assessment.

· Support cost/process improvement projects to ensure supplier quality.

· Assist in leading changes to ensure supply.

· Stay updated on the supplier market.

· Integrate sourcing plans within budgets and price planning processes.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience Required:

· Basic knowledge of electronic products and OEM/EMS projects.

· Experience in QA documentation and procedures adhering to ISO standards.

· Proficient in ERP system.

· Good negotiation and communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

· Flexible, fast-paced, detail-oriented with a problem-solving mentality and integrity.

· Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.

· 3+ years of experience in sourcing electronic components and working in manufacturing environments.

· 2+ years of experience in quality control in the electronics or semiconductor industry.

· 2+ years of experience in supporting teams.
