Accounts Assistant, AP

New Shan Travel is looking for a suitable candidate to fill in the position of Accounts Assistant, AP. You will work in a close-knit team with like-minded individuals and be reporting to the Manager, Accounts.

AP function:

Daily basis:

• Handle full accounts payable cycle from vendors’ invoices to payment, including obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system

• Overseas payment via telegraphic transfer to overseas agent

• Reconcile credit card statement by verifying expense reports and preparing payment

• Provide support for other departments regarding accounting matters and queries

• Continuing to improve the payment process

Monthly basis:

• Maintain General ledgers

• Perform AP & Payment journals for month-end closing.

• Prepare AP Accrual reports

Yearly basis:

• Prepare AP audit confirmation

Adhoc:

• Assist AR function when colleague is on leave

• Assist Finance Manager on any other ad hoc projects

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level or relevant background in accounting.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance.

• Pro-active, an excellent team player

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills

• Meticulous with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
