Promote and support the professional practice and lifelong learning for nurses, allied health professionals and care support staff through the Community Training Institute (CTI) training programmes and relevant projects.

Develop, support and conduct all therapy courses offered by CTI to the hospital staff and the Community Care sector

Deliver coursework and practicum according to the curriculum developed by CTI and its partners

Conduct competency assessment for learners based on the competency framework developed by the hospital and its partners

Develop/co-ordinate in-service therapy education programs with the objectives of meeting organisational and staff learning needs

Coordinate with external training and healthcare institutions to provide training for staff

Facilitate the continuous improvement of processes, policies and procedures involved in the training and educational areas

Support hospital-wide compliance with training standards, guidelines and assumes direction of special projects as necessary

Ensure curriculum and training programmes are based on the current competency approach and in line with the hospital goals

Collaborate with HODs, Nurse Managers and Allied Health professionals in identifying training gaps and the relevant courses to upgrade the competency skills of their staff

Support relevant research and evidence-based therapy practices to maintain quality standard of therapy care and good patient outcomes

Support the clinical placement of physiotherapy students and ensure meaningful attachments

Cultivate a learning culture through creation of learning opportunities for staff

Manage training records and ensure proper utilisation of training assets /resources for Therapy related Training

Collaborate with relevant departments to facilitate technology and innovation adoption in relevant therapy areas
