
General Manager, Regional Legal, Risk & Compliance
Job Responsibilities
The role shall require to work closely with Executive and Senior Management in the South Asia Region, namely :
a) Develops, initiates, maintains and revise policies and procedures for the general operation, compliance activities and other related activities of various offices to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
b) Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies procedures and Business Code of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.
c) Establish and monitor key risk indicators, as well as implement corrective action plans to mitigate risks.
d) Analyze transactions, internal reports and financial information for potential fraud risks
e) Evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal control framework in addressing risks and accomplishing the company's goals and objectives
f) Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops / implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
g) Provide training and technical support to management and employees regarding risk management strategies and programs
h) Communicate and coordinate with corporate HQ to compile required information and updates.
Qualification required :
1) Degree preferably in business or related area, or equivalent business experience
2) Ten or more years working experience in business operation /audit /regulatory compliance
3) Broad working knowledge of laws and regulations related to areas of assignment
4) Ability to analyze complex laws and regulations
5) Must have strong interpersonal skills, a flexible, collaborative and team-oriented approach to problem-solving and an ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
6) Minimum of five years supervisory/leadership/management experience
7) Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal operational management, legal, and key external vendors and service providers.
8) Ability to work independently with minimum instruction or supervision, under pressure, and in a multi-tasking environment.
