The position works globally, and scheduling flexibility is required to allow for regular meetings and connectivity with colleagues in the Americas, APAC, and EMEA time zones.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The main purpose of the Executive Recruiter role is to act as a strategic talent acquisition partner to key business and HR stakeholders in APAC and EMEA for MD+ and Board positions. This is a new role for these regions and the successful candidate will collaborate on developing and delivering an efficient, consistent approach while building trust and credibility with business leaders.
The Executive Recruiter is responsible for end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, pipelining talent, and market mapping, for active needs and opportunistic hiring. The individual will understand succession and flight risk and source proactively. Additionally, as appropriate, will collaborate with hiring managers to select, negotiate, and engage with third parties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Be trusted talent acquisition partner to MUFG leaders
- Manage end to end recruitment, developing search strategies, sourcing hard to find talent, screening and handling complex offer negotiations
- Provide high touch, white glove experience to hiring executive, stakeholders and candidates
- Ensure outstanding candidate experience, end to end through to onboarding
- Proactively build talent pipelines and network of active and passive talent that aligns with current and future hiring needs
- Maintain client relationships with senior leadership, hiring managers, and candidates
- Lead research project, talent market mapping for building candidate pool and succession planning
- Educate hiring managers on the recruitment process timeline, roles, and responsibilities
- Lead round table interview feedback reviews
- Provide market and candidate intelligence, that enables hiring decisions
- Partner with Hiring Manager and Compensation to discuss offer parameters and extend and negotiate all offers
- Review monthly/quarterly recruitment metrics to ensure target time to fill, aging and other TA metrics are on track
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to standardize an inclusive executive recruitment and selection approach globally
- Comply with relevant bank policies and legal and regulatory requirements
- As needed, collaborate with hiring managers to select, negotiate, and engage third parties (including negotiation and administrative processes required for firm onboarding)
- Ad hoc projects/initiatives, as needed
WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Recruiting for financial services/banking industry experience required
- 7+ years experience in recruiting for executive level professionals
- Agency and in-house recruiting experience preferred

- Proven track record of success within a recruitment organization
- Creative sourcing, cold calling, and networking techniques
- Experience handling complex offer negotiations
- Flexible nature and ability to meet changing demands in a dynamic work environment
- Superior communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient with applicant tracking databases, preferably Workday
- Proficient in Microsoft suite, PowerPoint, Excel & Workday
- Understands and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Operational compliance, excellence and quality management
Performance and Duties
The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process, with relevant input obtained from the dual-hatting entity as relevant.
As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.
