About the Role
As an IT Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a variety of IT software, hardware, and networks. Your role will involve troubleshooting system issues, researching solutions, and proposing improvements. You’ll work closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations. A strong understanding of virtualization, Linux, and Windows operating systems is essential.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in control software for baggage handling systems.
- Review system logs for issue identification and analysis.
- Develop and maintain validation tests and change control logs.
- Monitor IT infrastructure, applications, and material handling systems.
- Triage and maintain incident reports.
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance tasks (e.g., backups, patches).
- Approach troubleshooting systematically and methodically.
- Advise customers to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Proactively implement improvements based on lifecycle or maintenance plans.
About the Requirement
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITIL v3/v4).
- Preferred IT certifications (e.g., CCNA).
- Experience with IT infrastructure, ideally in industrial automation and logistics.
- 5 years of relevant experience in industrial systems.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware, VMware, Linux, and MS Windows.
- Experience with network hardware, firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Familiarity with IT monitoring tools and application middleware (e.g., Oracle).
- Experience with IT security software (e.g., Trend Micro, SIEM).
- Good knowledge of testing and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in English to effectively handle documentation and communication tasks.
- An assertive team player with a proactive mindset.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment and be on-call as required.
