Position Overview: GFTN is seeking a proactive and creative individual to support the team in delivering strategic projects focussed on FinTech ecosystem development, including hackathons, accelerator programmes and talent development programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in marketing, community engagement, entrepreneurship, and innovation to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in delivering GFTN’s innovation, learning and talent development activities and hackathon proposition.
- Manage programme administration of innovation, learning and talent development activities including GFTN’s flagship Global FinTech Hackcelerator.
- Support outreach to startup, developer and talent communities
- Support communications with programme participants and programme partners, including supporting organisations, mentors and vendors.
- Assist project manager with following up with programme participants to advise and work with them to meet programme requirements and deadlines.
- Assists with in-person programmes including workshops and industry visits.
- Prepares documents, reports and routine correspondence.
Qualifications and Eligibility:
- Diploma or degree in any course of study.
- Knowledge of innovation activities such as accelerators and hackathons.
Skills and Attributes
- Effective communicator, comfortable conversing with industry professionals.
- Strong writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good-to-haves
- Experience organising or participating in innovation challenges or hackathons
- Experience organising or participating in talent development programmes
- Experience supporting large-scale trade conferences
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Strong interest in fintech, innovation and entrepreneurship
