Job Objective

• Plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation within the group standards.
• Primarily responsible for the operational execution of receiving, storage and distribution of finished goods. Handling of legal requirements and ensuring compliance with all import/export industry regulations. Another key responsibility is to advise and support and monitor other Asian subsidiaries in their logistics procedures and processes. This position includes developing and ensuring adherence to department KPIs and driving cost, quality, and technology improvements in close coordination with headquarters.
• The incumbent, responsible for the overall operations function, will lead a group of executives to manage and coordinate the warehousing, import/export and delivery operations to fulfill local and export orders.
• Provide site safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, implement safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all incoming shipments and plan, schedule, and manage outgoing shipments in the warehouse
• Lead, manage and assist the warehouse team in delivering safe, responsive, and reliable stock control operation at optimal cost
• Recommend optimal transportation modes, routes, equipment, or frequency
• Monitor and analyze specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
• Implement policies or procedures for logistics activities as designed by corporate headquarter, or collaborate with headquarters in a team setup to develop those policies and procedures.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports operations, or customer issues throughout Asia
• Conduct regular technical audits of subsidiaries.
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
• Design models for use in evaluating logistics services
• Recommend the purchase of new or improved technology, such as automated systems
• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply during emergency scenarios.
• Identify gaps in work processes across related companies and departments and propose improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
• Direct outbound logistics operations, such as transportation management, warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
• Demonstrate strong inclination towards technology adoption and consistently propose options to enhance operations and supply chain efficiency, benefiting both our customers and internal operations
• Develop effective communications channels and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various stakeholders in operations.
• Develop and enhance the competency of logistics teams in safety, operations, management and soft skills, including team dynamics, team building and group motivation.
• Provide escalation and training support for operational issues, e.g. assist, train, support team members while ensuring coverage when needed.
• Review warehouse KPIs and implement corrective measures
• Ensure compliance with the zero GST scheme
• Identify and Implement trade compliances strategies to maximize duty-savings opportunities under Free Trade Agreement.
