JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Transportation of hardware equipments, compressors, pumps, valves etc to customers and suppliers
- Perform transportation duties as deployed by the supervisor and carry out the duties diligently as per instructed.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
- Responsible for daily routine checks and maintain the general cleanliness of the vehicle
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines and effectively prioritize and executes tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Assist in the management of the day to day operations and Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by Company
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Min 5 years of experience in related industry
- Class 3 / Class 4 Driving Licence compulsory; Company’s vehicle is not allowed to drive home
- Preferably with Fork Lift Licence. Assist with packaging and using forklift in warehouse as and when required or during free time.
- Must be able to work long hours, flexibility to work weekends and Public Holidays if required (strictly off day on weekdays)
- Required to work in hot and humid working environment
- Field work required. Need to do assist with delivery if off / medical leave or urgency of goods when required
- Physically Fit. Able to withstand loading/unloading of bulky goods (25kg and above) for extended period.
- Ability to assess truck volume allotment to accurately cubic a truck.
- Knowledge of GPS equipment; knowledge of DOT regulations, preferred
- Capabilities of delivery route planning
- Hands-on experience is preferred.
- Must have knowledge in hardware materials and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks responsibly
