ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector has witnessed massive shifts in consumer behaviour in the past few years, to which organizations leaned in to effective supply chain management as a vital enabler to ensure that we respond to rapidly-changing needs with resilience, sustainability and customer satisfaction at heart. This is a key agenda for KFC Asia as we establish a Supply Chain organization that will support our mission in enabling growth and accelerate the progress of our “Recipe for Good.”

This brings an exciting opportunity for an SCM Analyst to join our Supply Chain Management team for 6 months to breathe life into this agenda for Asia. You will also interact with our KFC Asia Franchise Partners (SCM) and relevant supplier and distribution partners teams.

You will support a mix for developed and emerging markets with a total number of restaurants of about 4,000 (across 14 markets), with an estimated annual spend of over US$1 billion.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE… with your role’s responsibilities

Major job functions include but not limited to:

Drive Franchisee Data Collection and Analysis

  • Build relations with Franchisees to collect supply chain information in relation to category or suppliers
  • Support Category Leads in annual RFQ/RFP exercises
  • Consolidate quarterly cost saving reports

Oversee Regional and Franchisee Suppliers’ Compliance and SCM Trueview

  • Engage category leads and cross functional teams (e.g. QA/FIT) for support to drive 100% compliance status (e.g. Confidentiality agreement & financial health check)
  • Support Supplier Management platform, including user access setup (collect/insert information and data approvals)

Support Market Risk Assessment & Contingency Plans Exercise

  • Understand global best practice and requirements
  • Review and work with franchisees to improve current market contingency plans
  • Ensure markets develop adequate contingency plans

Support People Capability Initiatives/Events

  • Publish Quarterly Commodity Report for Franchises
  • Assist in the preparation of conferences, events, colleges, and presentations as required

Category Management

  • Manage a few minor spend categories
  • Proactively engage regional suppliers
  • Support franchisees on category related issues
  • Oversee fee collection and payment process with Supplier and Finance team

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in supply chain or F&B industry providing analyses support to SCM Managers and managing food categories would be preferred
  • Team player and able to work with multi-national stakeholders
  • Good organizational and project management skills - Able to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Able to guide, articulate issues and make recommendations to Franchise Partners and internal team members
  • Demonstrates initiative, high work ethic with a can-do attitude and attention to details
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills
