System Engineer
Responsibilities
1. Virtualization:
• Design, deploy, and manage virtual environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and optimization of virtual infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations for virtualized environments.
• Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of VM systems.
• Perform regular updates, patching, and security hardening for VMware environments.
2. Windows Server Administration:
• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments. Perform design, installation, regular updates, patching, and security hardening.
• Implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server related issues to ensure optimal performance.
3. Linux Administration:
• Design, install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
• Perform systeminstallation, updates, patch management, and security hardening.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and other tools.
4. General Responsibilities:
• Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support application deployments and updates.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and operations.
Requirement
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 5 years of advanced Virtualization experience; 5 years of advanced Windows Server 2016/2019 experience; 3 years of Linux system experience.
3. Proven track record managing both Windows/Linux server environments and good hand-on knowledge in SQL server, Microsoft 365
4. Certifications: VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Veritas NetBackup certification, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or similar certifications are preferred.
5. Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
6. Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
7. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
7. Availability to work outside regular business hours for maintenance and on-call support.
