Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience in a technical role.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and issue resolution using available resources.
  • Proven experience in application support, including maintaining and troubleshooting complex applications for critical business functions.
  • Hands-on experience with at least three of the following technologies:
  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory
  • System Center Suite
  • CIFS file systems
  • Storage arrays (NetApp, Pure Storage)
  • Citrix
  • VMware ESX server and/or Ubuntu (preferred)
  • Cloud & Automation:
  • Experience working with Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Azure Function Apps, Runbooks, and ServiceNow.
  • Networking & Systems Integration:
  • Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including client/server applications and network routing principles.
  • Ability to identify patterns in technical issues and effectively communicate them to engineering teams for scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in scripting for systems integration and management using PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Monitoring & Security:
  • Experience with various monitoring methodologies, including WMI, SSH, SNMP, agent-based monitoring, and push/pull concepts.
  • Ability to work with external vendors (Microsoft, AT&T, Cisco) on technical escalations and issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Linux systems administration experience, including authentication methods, network configuration, recovery shell, Docker, and package management (YUM, APT).
  • Knowledge of Splunk, Tidal, and MoveIT.
  • Basic understanding of SQL.
  • Experience managing blade and rack server hardware.
  • Strong familiarity with CIFS, NFS, TCP/IP, LDAP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, load balancing, and troubleshooting.
  • Azure AZ-104 certification or higher.
