
(Contract) Plant Commissioning Engineer | Jurong Island

Job Overview:
Assist the commissioning team in ensuring a smooth start-up and commissioning process by operating plant systems such as pumps and fans according to their directives. Monitor plant conditions and report any issues immediately, taking action as directed by the commissioning team.
Main Duties:
- Collaborate with the site commissioning team to facilitate an efficient plant start-up and commissioning process.
- Operate key plant systems, including pumps and fans, following the commissioning team’s guidelines.
- Continuously monitor plant operations and promptly inform the commissioning team if any issues arise.
- Address and resolve operational issues during the commissioning phase as per the team’s instructions.
- Work in shifts, depending on the progress of the commissioning process.
Requirements:
- At least G.C.E. “O” Level or Higher NITEC qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in operating power plants, either during the commercial operation phase or the commissioning phase.
- Proficient in basic computer software, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of basic power plant design.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a safety-conscious attitude.
