Interior Designer (Hospitality - Mixed Development)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Interior Designer as an in-house expert responsible for transforming our client's vision into stunning interiors for mixed-use and hospitality projects in Singapore and across the region.

Your expertise will be essential in maintaining brand aesthetics, optimizing space and leading project execution. Your innovative designs will be compliant, trendsetting, and enhance the value of properties.

Your responsibilities as an integral part of the design process:

• You will collaborate closely with internal teams to understand project objectives and develop engaging design concepts.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and builders, you'll ensure a seamless integration of design and construction.
• You'll analyze space utilization and flow to craft interiors that are both visually appealing and functionally efficient.
• Using your expertise, you'll develop compelling sketches and presentations to effectively communicate your design ideas to stakeholders, while leveraging advanced design software to create detailed plans and renderings.
• You'll select high-quality materials and decor, carefully balancing aesthetics, usability, and budget considerations.
• You will also create detailed project timelines and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.
• Overseeing the installation process, you'll guarantee flawless integration of all design components.
• Conducting final walkthroughs with stakeholders will ensure complete satisfaction.
• To maintain a competitive edge, you'll stay abreast of the latest design trends, materials, and techniques, driving innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (professional certification preferred).
• 5-8 years of proven experience managing interior design for mixed-development and hospitality projects (office, retail, residential, hotel) in Singapore and the region.
• In-house experience and/or Consultancy background.
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated refined sense of style for creating aesthetically pleasing interiors.
• Strong visual design skills, comprehensive knowledge of construction materials, and understanding of lighting design.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D rendering software (SketchUp and Enscape). Basic understanding of building codes in Singapore and the region.
• Ability to adapt design concepts to diverse cultural contexts within the region.
• Experience sourcing and managing regional vendors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and experience incorporating them.
• Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with on-site supervision and coordination.
