Introduction:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building and mechanical engineering projects, ensuring that they remain within budget and that quality standards are met.

Job Description:

1. Site visits to understand client’s requirements and quantities as per tender document, BOQs and drawings.

2. Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for projects.

3. Conduct cost analysis and financial forecasting.

4. Manage procurement processes and contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.

5. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on cost and time management.

6. Prepare monthly progress claims to clients or main contractors and recommend interim payment schedules

7. Assist with risk management, identifying potential cost overruns or delays.

8. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

9. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve any cost-related issues.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.

3. Proficient in cost estimation and cost management techniques.

4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and cost control methods.

5. Good communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

6. Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

7. Frequent visit to worksites.

8. Ability to communicate in Chinese (both written and verbal) with our China headoffice counterpart and suppliers.
