We are seeking a Software Engineer skilled in Java web development to join a software firm for FinTech project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications and systems integrations required for the operation.
- Collaborate with other software engineers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications built.
- Provide maintenance support to customers by investigating and rectifying reported systems shortcomings during/after working hours when necessary.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback. Optimize existing code for better performance.
- Take initiative in identifying and resolving legacy system issues, optimizing code, and implementing best practices to enhance overall system performance.
- Understand requirements and design solutions that address system issues, enhance performance, and improve user experience.
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for code and system architecture.
Job Requirements:
- Singaporean only.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2.5 years experience in software engineering with proficiency in Java web development.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to handle Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Experience with solution design: Design and implement solutions that address complex system issues and improve legacy systems.
- Proficient in Java/J2EE, JSP, JSF, Spring Framework (Security, MVC, Cloud, Boot), SOAP, Web Services.
- Experience in cloud solution delivery, such as AWS.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Git, Jira Jenkins), Unit Testing tools (Spring test/JUNIT), and Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL
- Prior experience in FinTech industry/projects will be an added advantage.
