Job Descriptions:

  • Develop and oversee all technical aspects of repair special process development. Processes may include plasma spray coating, diffusion coatings, heat treatment, laser drilling, laser welding and cladding, shot peening, brazing, etc.
  • Liaise with engine OEM on technical issues, process qualification, technology transfer etc
  • Lead repair development and source approval with OEM including writing work instruction, demonstration to program plan requirements.
  • Program machines/robots path to meet process requirements, develop process parameters through trails and metlab or physical attribute analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to fabricate and validate tooling.
  • Conduct technical investigation to determine root cause of process deviation and implement engineering control to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with EH&S Policy, Code of Conduct and Global Trade Compliance at all times.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Material Science Engineering is preferred) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in aero component repair processes
  • Knowledge various repair processes like plasma spray, diffusion coating and brazing is preferred.
  • Experience in programming, process parameter development, and automation is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Meet applicable global trade restrictions and requirements.
